Meet Don Bettis, NBC-HIS

Owner, Hearing Instrument Specialist

Don saw how his grandfather’s hearing loss affected him and his life and entered the hearing healthcare industry. Helping his grandfather improve his hearing with hearing aids inspired him to continue on his path as a hearing specialist. Now, Don has been in the field for over 30 years and continues to help change his patients’ lives every day. He is a current board member of the Illinois Hearing Society.

If you or a loved one resides in a nursing home or assisted living facility, Don will come to you. We are happy to eliminate any need for you to make transportation arrangements for your next appointment or same-day hearing aid repair.

Our Staff

Beth Arkebauer

Receptionist, Office Manager

Beth is our friendly receptionist and office manager. Before joining the Hear Well Hearing Care Centre team she was a stay-at-home mom for a few years and would volunteer her time at school. She has previous experience as a front office assistant. Before transitioning to an office setting Beth was a licensed cosmetologist for 10 years. She enjoys talking to each patient and getting to know everyone who comes to our office.

In her free time, Beth enjoys watching her kids play sports as well as reading, taking her dogs for a walk, and just being outdoors.

Dr. Phill

Dr. Phill, the office mascot, will be happy to explain how hearing aids have improved his lifestyle.

How We Give Back to Our Community

At Hear Well Hearing Care Centre, we are actively involved in our community. Don is a musician and enjoys performing for the senior community of Taylorville. Once a month, Don performs concerts for senior citizens in the community by playing at the local senior homes. Learn more about Don’s music and his performance schedule!
